1. We urge TEPCO, the Japanese government, the NRA, and the IAEA to STOP THE DUMP. They have not proven their methods work. They have not operated with “scientific due diligence.” The health of the world is at stake.
2. We also ask the IAEA and NRA to update their nuclear dump standards to be in line with the latest science, which shows that tritium bioaccumulates and is dangerous to human and planetary health.
Humans are living beings on this planet who are dependent on natural ecosystems to thrive. From the food we eat, to the air we breathe, we are reliant on plants and animals, all the way down to fungi, and bacteria, to live on this planet. Without them, we wouldn’t exist.
Biodiversity is the best measurement we have to make sure ecosystems are thriving. Protecting biodiversity means a healthy future for yourself and the world around you.
Once humans remember that we are part of a complex web of life, the sustainable paradigm will be to protect nature, rather than extract from it and dump in it.
We work to get to a future where there are legal precedents that protect the “Rights of Nature,” and technologically sound ways of dealing with waste.
